In the 13th minute, Salah Waheed got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salah El-hadary showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nedal Osama in the 25th minute of the match. Radwan Basel hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Nedal Osama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salah El-hadary having to interfere. When Fouad Ghali fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manoura's protests and gave Fouad Ghali a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Manoura getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Fouad Ghali hit a great ball. Radwan Basel missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 42 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Adel Hafez right hand side. Amr Kordy's late challenge caught a Manoura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amr Kordy helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Jirja got a freekick which was hit by Amr Kordy. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Amr Kordy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Adel Hafez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute of the match, Shehab Badr got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adel Hafez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amr Kordy in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adel Hafez saved Manoura from getting behind. Salah El-hadary stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nedal Osama's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Nedal Osama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salah El-hadary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salah Waheed in the 78th minute of play. If Salah Waheed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute.
