Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Shaker Hosny kicked off to start the match. If Hanafy Safwat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hany Mubarak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shaker Hosny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ahly's zone, Mazen Lateef stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hany Mubarak came out of the goal and Mazen Lateef tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Mazen Lateef managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ganzur's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazen Lateef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hany Mubarak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ahly getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Moataz Sabry hit a great ball. After 13 minutes, Salem Bakr mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ahly and the Ganzur players grew even worse after the yellow card. Salem Bakr hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match Khalil Shams shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hany Mubarak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Hanafy Safwat came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ahly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hanafy Safwat couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Gomaa Mubarak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Abdou Amr had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Waheed Mahmoud fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ganzur's protests and gave Waheed Mahmoud a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ahly booed when Ganzur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waheed Mahmoud didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Mazen Lateef cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hany Mubarak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Shaker Hosny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Besheer Khaled made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarek Gaafar in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 played minutes Ganzur got a freekick which was hit by Nedal Abdel Haleem. Shaker Hosny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Hany Mubarak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hany Mubarak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shaker Hosny in the 40th minute of play. Mazen Lateef fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hany Mubarak having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tarek Gaafar made a kick off. Hany Mubarak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shaker Hosny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ahly's goalkeeper Hany Mubarak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hany Mubarak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazen Lateef in the 56th minute of play. Shaker Hosny recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mazen Lateef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. Hany Mubarak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaker Hosny in the 69th minute of the match. Nedal Abdel Haleem's late challenge caught a Ahly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nedal Abdel Haleem helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ganzur getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Nedal Abdel Haleem hit a great ball. In the 75th minute Shaker Hosny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hany Mubarak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nedal Abdel Haleem got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Nedal Abdel Haleem hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Besheer Khaled was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tarek Gaafar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 83 minute of play.
