Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dechna's Aaser Tamer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Zamalek booed when Dechna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Talaat Sameeh didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Khaled Zaky got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dechna's Rasheed Nagy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamza Mazen in the 8th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Zamalek:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dechna:s goal. Rasheed Nagy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khaled Zaky in the 17th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Dechna's Aaser Tamer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gomaa Belal. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. If Khaled Zaky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaser Tamer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 30th minute Aaser Tamer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gomaa Belal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gomaa Belal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samir Abdel Monsef's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When Aaser Tamer, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 36 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gomaa Belal was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Khaled Zaky was the one to do the kick off. If Samir Abdel Monsef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gomaa Belal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaser Tamer, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Rasheed Nagy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khaled Zaky, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Khaled Zaky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rasheed Nagy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gomaa Belal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaser Tamer in the 84th minute of play. Zamalek's Gomaa Belal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaser Tamer in the 91st minute of play.
