A collision led to Shirinqash getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Alaa Shawky hit a great ball. Zamalek's Hamza Mazen came free and shot a quick shot against goal 3 minutes in the game, fortunately Nabil Ahmed had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamza Mazen got free with Nabil Ahmed in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barakat Ismail made a great header on Zamalek's corner, it was just that Shirinqash's Nabil Ahmed managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 12th minute, Ayoub Fares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gomaa Belal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 16 minutes into the game, Shirinqash's Ayoub Fares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gomaa Belal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 20th minute, Rasheed Ziyad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gomaa Belal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Shirinqash! Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Zamalek's Khaled Zaky in the 29th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Nabil Ahmed was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Shirinqash through an amazing save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rasheed Ziyad in the 30th minute of play forced Zamalek's goalkeeper Gomaa Belal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gomaa Belal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rasheed Ziyad in the 33rd minute of the match. Zamalek's Gomaa Belal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasheed Ziyad in the 34th minute of play. Batran Anwar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41stth minute of the game Khaled Zaky who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shirinqash's Nabil Ahmed was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Ayoub Fares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shirinqash's supporters rose to their feet, but Ayoub Fares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gomaa Belal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayoub Fares in the 49th minute of play forced Zamalek's goalkeeper Gomaa Belal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Khaled Zaky made a kick off. Gomaa Belal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ayoub Fares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Khaled Zaky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Nabil Ahmed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Zamalek booed when Shirinqash was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tawfeek Salah el din didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Zamalek's goalkeeper Gomaa Belal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tawfeek Salah el din. Gomaa Belal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ayoub Fares, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 1-5 became the score in the 97th minute when Rasheed Ziyad elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Shirinqash's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
