Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Farouk Reda started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Fadel Abu Bakr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ebaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fadel Abu Bakr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes into the match, Daqran's goal looked a bit too open when Farouk Reda came free, but Mamdouh Hassan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daqran's Marwan Abdel Monsef got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Ebaba got a freekick which was hit by Hafez Yousif. After a defensive mix-up in Ebaba's zone, Marwan Abdel Monsef stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nassef Yasser came out of the goal and Marwan Abdel Monsef tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Farouk Reda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mamdouh Hassan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ebaba booed when Daqran was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shehab Ghanem didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Farouk Reda came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ebaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Farouk Reda couldn't finish the play. Marwan Abdel Monsef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marwan Abdel Monsef in the 28th minute of play forced Ebaba's goalkeeper Nassef Yasser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lateef Hashem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nassef Yasser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lateef Hashem in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nassef Yasser saved Ebaba from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marwan Abdel Monsef in the 43rd minute of play forced Ebaba's goalkeeper Nassef Yasser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lateef Hashem to make the kick off. Fadel Abu Bakr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fadel Abu Bakr struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Mamdouh Hassan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ebaba. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Lateef Hashem took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Nassef Yasser to make any attempt to save it. Shehab Ghanem hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Ebaba's Basyouny El-Shater broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Lateef Hashem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nassef Yasser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nassef Yasser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lateef Hashem, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Marwan Abdel Monsef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Nassef Yasser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daqran were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Ebaba to leave the ground with a draw.
