Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Zidan Tamer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 10 minutes into the game, Tawd's Zidan Tamer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ayman Fikry made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute Reda Fathy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ayman Fikry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ameen Abu Zeed hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Reda Fathy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tawd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reda Fathy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ayman Fikry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zidan Tamer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Reda Fathy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tawd booed when Athribis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramzy Aebeed didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zidan Tamer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Athribis's Kamal Nagy in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tawd's goalie prevented a goal. Ameen Abu Zeed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ali Moataz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kamal Nagy to make the kick off. In the 67th minute of the match Mohammed Essam sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ali Moataz skillfully saved the ball. Tawd's Salah Gamal shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 75th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ayman Fikry but with some difficulty. After 75 played minutes Athribis got a freekick which was hit by Mowafak Rateb. Moataz Hany received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ayman Fikry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Athribis's Ayman Fikry proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Athribis from getting a goal against them. When Raouf El-Sayed came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Athribis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raouf El-Sayed couldn't finish the play. The Tawd supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tawd would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
