The supporters of Duweida booed when Daqadus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taher Essam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hanafy Shehab struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Khaled Taimour didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duweida. In the 11th match minute, Daqadus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yehia El-Yamani to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Galal Mostafa from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Khaled Taimour's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Mahdy Safwat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdel Masoud Mahmoud got free with Khaled Taimour in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gomaa Ghanem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mahdy Safwat, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 36th match minute, Duweida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naguib Maged to maneuver through the defense. After 37 played minutes Duweida got a freekick which was hit by Abdel Masoud Mahmoud. Bakr Gaser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gomaa Ghanem having to interfere. Khaled Taimour was a little too slow when Hanafy Shehab got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
After a rather tough play, Duweida's Belal Omar got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Duweida's zone, Mahdy Safwat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gomaa Ghanem came out of the goal and Mahdy Safwat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hanafy Shehab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khaled Taimour having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Yehia El-Yamani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Abdel Masoud Mahmoud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mahdy Safwat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gomaa Ghanem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. If Hanafy Shehab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Duweida's zone, Bakr Gaser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gomaa Ghanem came out of the goal and Bakr Gaser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hanafy Shehab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Khaled Taimour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daqadus's Khaled Taimour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hanafy Shehab in the 95th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
