In the 3rd minute, Osama Aemara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Nasir Basel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fayez Fahmy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 12 minutes into the match, Akoris's goalkeeper Hossam Mahmoud had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mostafa Metwaly. After a rather tough play, Akoris's Emad Zaky got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Khaled Abdou fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hossam Mahmoud, passed just outside the right post. Osama Aemara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fayez Fahmy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nasir Basel in the 22nd minute of the match. Osama Aemara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fayez Fahmy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nasir Basel in the 28th minute of play forced Dirwa's goalkeeper Fayez Fahmy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nasir Basel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Akoris's Taimour Wael got a free kick in the 38th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osama Aemara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Dirwa's Fayez Fahmy got control of the ball when Nasir Basel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute of the match Shams Faisal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fayez Fahmy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Dirwa's Mostafa Metwaly in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Akoris's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osama Aemara in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fayez Fahmy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Mostafa Metwaly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dirwa's supporters rose to their feet, but Mostafa Metwaly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hossam Mahmoud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 73 played minutes, Akoris's Mowafak Samer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fayez Fahmy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Akoris reached it. Nasir Basel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Fayez Fahmy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nasir Basel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fayez Fahmy having to make a save. Emad Zaky hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Akoris's Hossam Mahmoud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mostafa Metwaly in the 91st minute of play.
