Taha Fathy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabry Hakeem in the 4th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Samman's Safwat Nizar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mazhar Gameel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samman's goalkeeper Taha Fathy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Abdel Masoud Talaat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samman's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Waqid the free kick. 14 minutes into the match, Waqid's Maged Ezzat broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Taha Fathy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabry Hakeem, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Karam Hamdy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waqid's Mazhar Gameel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Safwat Nizar in the 29th minute of play. Salah el din El-Saeed struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Mazhar Gameel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samman. A collision led to Waqid getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Hussien Hisham hit a great ball. The supporters of Waqid booed when Samman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aebeed Seif didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maged Ezzat, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 41st minute, Sabry Hakeem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Safwat Nizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Mazhar Gameel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Safwat Nizar in the 45th minute of play forced Waqid's goalkeeper Mazhar Gameel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Safwat Nizar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Sabry Hakeem notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Samman's Taha Fathy. Taha Fathy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karam Hamdy struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Taha Fathy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Waqid. Waqid's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Safwat Nizar scored to the left of an out of position Mazhar Gameel, making the score, 2-2. 69 minutes into the game, Karam Hamdy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Taha Fathy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Safwat Nizar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taha Fathy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sabry Hakeem went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute Badr Nassef suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Hussien Hisham fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Waqid's protests and gave Hussien Hisham a yellow card for diving instead. Hussien Hisham kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Karam Hamdy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waqid fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Sabry Hakeem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Taha Fathy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Salah el din El-Saeed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samman's supporters rose to their feet, but Salah el din El-Saeed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mazhar Gameel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Samman players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Waqid.
