Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sabry Hakeem made the kick off which started today's match. After 3 played minutes Waqid got a freekick which was hit by Hussien Hisham. Karam Hamdy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Luxor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Waqid the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Luxor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taimour Mustafa to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Waqid's Maged Ezzat broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Luxor's goal looked a bit too open when Karam Hamdy came free, but Badr Hafez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sameh Kamal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mazhar Gameel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fadel Hassan's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabry Hakeem in the 30th minute of play forced Luxor's goalkeeper Badr Hafez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamada Mustafa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mazhar Gameel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fadel Hassan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fadel Hassan to make the kick off. The supporters of Luxor booed when Waqid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shaker Omar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fadel Hassan in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mazhar Gameel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th match minute, Waqid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaker Omar to maneuver through the defense. Ameen Serag took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mazhar Gameel. Waqid's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thabit Ameen charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thabit Ameen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute, Thabit Ameen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabry Hakeem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Waqid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sameh Kamal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Sameh Kamal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
