The referee ignored Laqanah's protests and gave Fahmy Tarek a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Laqanah's Fahmy Tarek got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 21 played minutes, Laqanah's Deyab Radwan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gaser Fikry came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laqanah reached it. Gaser Fikry didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The attack was good, but when Salah Mohammed in the 58th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Hamza Emam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Adham Fadel made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Laqanah's zone, Salah Mohammed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adham Fadel came out of the goal and Salah Mohammed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute Fahmy Tarek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaser Fikry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Thabit Yasser managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laqanah's supporters rose to their feet, but Thabit Yasser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaser Fikry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adham Fadel made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Salah Mohammed sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th match minute, Laqanah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salah el din Ismail to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes in the game, Fahmy Tarek dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After having played for 87 minutes, Thabit Yasser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
