The referee ignored Dimnu's protests and gave Kamouna Fouad a yellow card for diving instead. Aebeed El-Husany received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lateef Bahy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Dimnu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Samalay were winning 0-1.

Dimnu's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 96th match minute, Dimnu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamouna Fouad to maneuver through the defense. Ayman Mazen shot from long distance in the 98th minute, but Lateef Bahy was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post.
