Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Moataz Ezz kicked off to start the match. Naguib Hazem kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Basem Bahaa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moataz Ezz in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shady Fareed in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ghali Ziyad saved Samalay from getting behind. After 17 played minutes Abjij got a freekick which was hit by Barakat Abdel Wahab. With his leg Basem Bahaa managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Samalay's Aebeed El-Husany fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ghali Ziyad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shady Fareed in the 26th minute of the match. Barakat Ahmed hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Barakat Abdel Wahab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ghali Ziyad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Shady Fareed cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ghali Ziyad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Moataz Ezz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moataz Ezz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Samalay's zone, Shady Fareed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ghali Ziyad came out of the goal and Shady Fareed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
After 50 played minutes Samalay got a freekick which was hit by Baher Mortada. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Samalay! The goalkeeper, Ghali Ziyad, was totally fooled by Abjij's Aebeed Hamdy, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Shady Fareeds short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Ghali Ziyad to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Abjij's Basem Bahaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aebeed El-Husany in the 58th minute of play. When Sameeh Rateb fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samalay's protests and gave Sameeh Rateb a yellow card for diving instead. Sameeh Rateb hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Barakat Abdel Wahab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ghali Ziyad was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Basyouny Gaafar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 69 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moataz Ezz in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basem Bahaa saved Abjij from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shady Fareed got free with Ghali Ziyad in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, Abjij's goal looked a bit too open when Aebeed El-Husany came free, but Basem Bahaa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 played minutes Samalay got a freekick which was hit by Ayman Mazen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barakat Abdel Wahab in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ghali Ziyad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barakat Abdel Wahab's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ghali Ziyad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of Samalay booed when Abjij was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basyouny Gaafar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basem Bahaa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moataz Ezz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basem Bahaa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aebeed El-Husany in the 93rd minute of the match. Barakat Abdel Wahab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Abjij players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
