In the 17th minute, Mubarak Mohab got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Mubarak Mohab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adham Hamada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Akoris booed when Samalay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sameeh Rateb didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ghali Ziyad made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Mubarak Mohab sent off a good shot on target. Mubarak Mohab could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Ghali Ziyad made a huge save. Barakat Sameh took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ghali Ziyad. Samalay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hafez Karam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moataz Ezz went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 36 minutes into the game, Baher Mortada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samalay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Akoris the free kick. Baher Mortada hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Ghali Ziyad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adham Hamada in the 37th minute of play. Akoris's Hafez Karam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moataz Ezz in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Samalay booed when Akoris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Essam Ayman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hafez Karam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moataz Ezz in the 43rd minute of the match. During the 46th minute of the match Baher Mortada completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Baher Mortada a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Samalay's Ghali Ziyad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adham Hamada in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adham Hamada was the one to do the kick off. Islam Osama hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Sameeh Rateb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aebeed El-Husany succeeded in the game's 79th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Ghali Ziyad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mubarak Mohab in the 83rd minute of play. Adham Hamada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samalay's Aebeed El-Husany got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ghali Ziyad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mubarak Mohab in the 97th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Samalay walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
