With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samy Riad in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Refaat Shehta saved Rifah from getting behind. In the 18th minute of the match Aaser Basem sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Refaat Shehta skillfully saved the ball. Qarqira's Shawky Mahmoud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yousif Emad in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Yousif Emad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rifah fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Yousry Radwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samy Riad to make the kick off. Refaat Shehta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yousry Radwan in the 63rd minute of the match. Abdel Wahab Salem charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdel Wahab Salem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Qarqira booed when Rifah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdel Wahab Salem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Refaat Shehta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yousry Radwan in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Qarqira's Yousry Radwan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After having played for 91 minutes, Omar Hatem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Qarqira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Hatem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Rifah's goal looked a bit too open when Yousry Radwan came free, but Refaat Shehta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
