Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kordy Ayman kicked off to start the match. Baqlulah's Burhan Refaat got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nedal Shady struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Anwar Ashraf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baqlulah. Sellum's Anwar Ashraf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Sellum from getting a goal against them. If Ramadan Nasir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Burhan Refaat's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Anwar Ashraf skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 24 minutes, Hafez Gomaa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baqlulah and the Sellum players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Baqlulah got a freekick which was hit by Hafez Gomaa. Nedal Shady fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anwar Ashraf having to interfere. If Kordy Ayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Riad El-Saeed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hosny Othman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hosny Othman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Riad El-Saeed went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nedal Shady was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Baqlulah's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Baqlulah booed when Sellum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raslan Metwaly didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baqlulah's Medhat El-Sayed got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nedal Shady made a kick off. Baqlulah's Hosny Othman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kordy Ayman in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes, Emam Samy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sellum and the Baqlulah players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Sellum:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Baqlulah:s goal. The referee gave Baqlulah a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Medhat El-Sayed, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sellum's Anwar Ashraf. 1-1. Sellum's Anwar Ashraf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burhan Refaat in the 67th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Riad El-Saeed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sellum's supporters rose to their feet, but Riad El-Saeed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hosny Othman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Sellum's Kordy Ayman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hosny Othman. Hosny Othman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. A collision led to Sellum getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Shehta Nassef hit a great ball. Anwar Ashraf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Burhan Refaat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sellum were furious when Emam Samy was red carded, 86 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. Burhan Refaat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anwar Ashraf having to make a save. Nedal Shady received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Anwar Ashraf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
