Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aaser Ezz started the match with the kick off. Hamza Desouqy charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamza Desouqy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Balaqs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamza Desouqy to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bata's goalkeeper Othman Khalil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aaser Ezz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Akram Essam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Adel Mazen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bata and the Balaqs players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adel Mazen kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Batran Abbas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Othman Khalil when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Batran Abbas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Othman Khalil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Akram Essam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaser Ezz, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Samir Shehab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mowafak Ameen kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Wael Galal, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shaker Gaafar in the 37th minute of play forced Balaqs's goalkeeper Akram Essam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Batran Abbas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Othman Khalil skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Samir Shehab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Othman Khalil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alaa Gomaa kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Akram Essam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaser Ezz, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th match minute, Balaqs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alaa Gomaa to maneuver through the defense. If Shaker Gaafar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaser Ezz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akram Essam having to interfere. When Shaker Gaafar came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Bata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shaker Gaafar couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Mowafak Ameen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bata's supporters rose to their feet, but Mowafak Ameen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akram Essam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samir Shehab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Shaker Gaafar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Batran Abbas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Othman Khalil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaser Ezz in the 85th minute of play forced Balaqs's goalkeeper Akram Essam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Batran Abbas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Othman Khalil having to interfere. Bata's Othman Khalil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samir Shehab in the 88th minute of play. In the 96th minute Samir Shehab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Othman Khalil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
