Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abbas Desouqy kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Gi`eif's Mido Aaser got a free kick in the 7th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Fadel Ismail managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mansourah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fadel Ismail was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samer Faisal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fahmy Nagy in the 13th minute of play. Mansourah were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Gi`eif's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Shehta Aino took the corner. Mansourah's Shehta Aino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Samer Faisal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fouad Saad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saad Fahed in the 21st minute of play. Abbas Desouqy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute, Abbas Desouqy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fouad Saad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saad Fahed in the 35th minute of play. Samer Faisal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fahmy Nagy in the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gi`eif's zone, Fahmy Nagy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samer Faisal came out of the goal and Fahmy Nagy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fahmy Nagy made a kick off. Ramez Safwat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fouad Saad. Mansourah's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fouad Saad made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Saad Fahed sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Gi`eif defense, Fahmy Nagy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samer Faisal. The Gi`eif fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samer Faisal should have stopped the shot. Gi`eif's Samer Faisal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fadel Ismail in the 68th minute of play. If Fahmy Nagy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the game, Mansourah's Fadel Ismail nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samer Faisal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Fouad Saad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abbas Desouqy in the 80th minute of the match. Abbas Desouqy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fouad Saad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mido Aaser in the 88th minute of play. After 90 played minutes, Gi`eif's Ramez Safwat shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fouad Saad came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gi`eif reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abbas Desouqy in the 92nd minute of play forced Mansourah's goalkeeper Fouad Saad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mansourah had won after a very even match.
