Abdel Monsef Yehia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walid Hosny having to interfere. Bakr Ghali could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Walid Hosny made a huge save. 8 minutes into the game, Marwan Gameel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ismailia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mi`eifin the free kick. Marwan Gameel kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Hamada Karam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Mohanad Fikry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walid Hosny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdel Monsef Yehia, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes Mi`eifin got a freekick which was hit by Mazhar Zaky. Ismailia's Mohanad Fikry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamada Karam in the 20th minute of play. Mi`eifin's Hamada Karam got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moataz Hany hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Mohanad Fikry didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hamada Karam went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 34 minutes, Hamada Karam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mi`eifin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamada Karam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdel Monsef Yehia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Walid Hosny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walid Hosny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bakr Ghali in the 45th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdel Monsef Yehia to strike the kick off in the second half. Walid Hosny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bakr Ghali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bakr Ghali scored 2-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walid Hosny, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maher Fikry in the 63rd minute of play forced Ismailia's goalkeeper Mohanad Fikry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 played minutes Mi`eifin got a freekick which was hit by Shams Ramadan. Kordy Emam, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Walid Hosny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdel Monsef Yehia's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Ismailia's Mohanad Fikry proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Ismailia from getting a goal against them. Maher Fikry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mohanad Fikry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hamada Karam in the 98th minute.
