After 7 minutes, Akram Refaat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El`Uweidat and the Kuntilla players grew even worse after the yellow card. Akram Refaat hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 8 played minutes, Kuntilla's Marwan Tarek shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mazen Abdou came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kuntilla reached it. Hussien Mowafak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hussien Mowafak in the 34th minute of play forced Kuntilla's goalkeeper Naguib Emad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 played minutes, El`Uweidat's Bakr Fares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Naguib Emad came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Shaker Nizar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazen Abdou having to interfere. A collision led to El`Uweidat getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Hazem Barakat hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fayez Sabry was the one to do the kick off. When Ramy Abaza came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Kuntilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramy Abaza couldn't finish the play. A hard shot by Basel Tarek from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Naguib Emad's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Kuntilla getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Hany Nassef hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Kuntilla's goal looked a bit too open when Fayez Sabry came free, but Naguib Emad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hussien Mowafak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fayez Sabry's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Naguib Emad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. El`Uweidat's Bakr Fares shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 67th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Naguib Emad but with some difficulty. After having played for 79 minutes, Shaker Nizar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kuntilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shaker Nizar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramy Abaza scored 1-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mazen Abdou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of El`Uweidat booed when Kuntilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hany Nassef didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazen Abdou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramy Abaza's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. If Hussien Mowafak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Hussien Mowafak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El`Uweidat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hussien Mowafak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Kuntilla supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching El`Uweidat's performance. The match ended with a win for El`Uweidat.
