Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Emam El-Saeed made the kick off which started today's match. Abbas Khaled fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fares Baher having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gebeil's Ayoub Gomaa got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rizqalla's goalkeeper Fadel Safwat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Emam El-Saeed came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Gebeil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emam El-Saeed couldn't finish the play. Hafez Mortada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Fares Baher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Abbas Khaled managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rizqalla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abbas Khaled was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emam El-Saeed's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fadel Safwat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abaza Maged in the 30th minute of play forced Rizqalla's goalkeeper Fadel Safwat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Rizqalla's Radwan Yousry got a free kick in the 31st minute. Fadel Safwat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abaza Maged, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Abbas Khaled had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Hafez Mortada kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fares Baher. That made the score 1-0 in the 41 minute of play. If Abaza Maged had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hafez Mortada to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Hussien Lateef shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fares Baher showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rizqalla's Fadel Safwat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emam El-Saeed in the 63rd minute of play. Fadel Safwat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abaza Maged in the 66th minute. If Emam El-Saeed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Abaza Maged left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gebeil fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Hafez Mortada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Fares Baher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abbas Khaled went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 86 minutes into the match, Gebeil's goal looked a bit too open when Hafez Mortada came free, but Fares Baher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Abaza Maged took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Fadel Safwat to make any attempt to save it. 94 minutes into the match, Gebeil's goal looked a bit too open when Abbas Khaled came free, but Fares Baher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
