With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fouad Mahdy in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sameeh Ali saved Matbul from getting behind. With a left leg Shady Yousif saved Sanjid from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fouad Mahdy in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sameeh Ali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Nader Abbas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Shady Yousif. Sameeh Ali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fouad Mahdy in the 21st minute of the match. Ezzat Shady received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sameeh Ali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Sanjid's Shady Yousif proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Sanjid from getting a goal against them. Radwan Badr kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Ezzat Darweesh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matbul's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezzat Darweesh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shady Yousif breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Sanjid's Radwan Badr got a free kick in the 96th minute. Nader Abbas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shady Yousif having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Matbul players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sanjid.
