Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Zafarana's Monzer Ayman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fikry Fikry struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Hashem Karam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shattura. Fikry Fikry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Basel Abdel Haleem came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Shattura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basel Abdel Haleem couldn't finish the play. Othman Sameeh's late challenge caught a Shattura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Othman Sameeh helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Zafarana got a freekick which was hit by Othman Sameeh. Essam Maged took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hashem Karam. Zafarana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hashem Karam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basel Abdel Haleem's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. A collision led to Zafarana getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Qasem Abdel Hameed hit a great ball. In the 16th minute of the match Hossam Radwan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hashem Karam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Monzer Ayman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Mahgoub Raouf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Shattura booed when Zafarana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qasem Abdel Hameed didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Shattura's goal looked a bit too open when Monzer Ayman came free, but Mahgoub Raouf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basel Abdel Haleem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shehta Shaker hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basel Abdel Haleem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Salem Saeed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basel Abdel Haleem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moataz Sallam kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes, Shattura's Hossam Radwan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hashem Karam came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shattura reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Basel Abdel Haleem kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hashem Karam. That made the score 0-1 in the 69 minute of play. After 76 minutes, Qasem Abdel Hameed mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zafarana and the Shattura players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Zafarana getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Qasem Abdel Hameed hit a great ball. Salem Saeed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahgoub Raouf having to interfere. Mahgoub Raouf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monzer Ayman in the 83rd minute of the match. Nayef Abu Mosallam hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Mahgoub Raouf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monzer Ayman, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Shattura's zone, Monzer Ayman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mahgoub Raouf came out of the goal and Monzer Ayman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salem Saeed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahgoub Raouf having to interfere. If Monzer Ayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
