Koit Savisaar might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aivar Veermäe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Koit Savisaar ran back to his position shaking his head. Aivar Veermäe was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Toomas Lillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Toomas Lillo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Toomas Lillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antti Vaht took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvar Välk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes Vase got a freekick which was hit by Imre Ruul. Jk Tallinna United's Toomas Lillo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jk Tallinna United's Toomas Lillo in 65 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Aivar Veermäe guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Koit Savisaar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toomas Lillo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Aivar Veermäe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jk Tallinna United. After 83 minutes, Härmo Tõruke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vase and the Jk Tallinna United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Vase fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aivar Veermäe should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Jk Tallinna United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
