Kusti Kurt ran back to his position shaking his head. Kaimo Lauter took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elmo Laat. Stoke City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elmo Laat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaak Kalamees, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stoke City's Mati Laaneoks got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Kusti Kurt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of As Roma's Tõnn Hiir. Tõnn Hiir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
