The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Odenpah's Sulev Link played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timo Põld in the 5th minute of play. Sulev Link made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timo Põld in the 9th minute of play. If Adrian Cristea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Odenpah getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Hardo Rakke hit a great ball. Sulev Link made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peeter Nõmmemaa in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Pirgu FS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Peeter Nõmmemaa hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Timo Põld left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pirgu FS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 31 minutes into the game, Pirgu FS's Avo Velt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sulev Link made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 37 minutes into the game, Timo Põld cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Sulev Link was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 42 minutes, Timo Põld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirgu FS and the Odenpah players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Adrian Cristea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiberiu Dobrotă to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Adrian Cristea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirgu FS's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Cristea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sulev Link breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the game, Peeter Nõmmemaa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirgu FS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Odenpah the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timo Põld in the 62nd minute of play forced Odenpah's goalkeeper Sulev Link to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Vanapoiss in the 64th minute of play. Sulev Link took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timo Põld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Ervin Raudsoo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Pirgu FS's Avo Velt quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in Odenpah's zone, Timo Põld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sulev Link came out of the goal and Timo Põld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sulev Link showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timo Põld, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Odenpah's goal looked a bit too open when Timo Põld came free, but Sulev Link reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timo Põld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Vanapoiss, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With a little luck, Odenpah's Sulev Link got control of the ball when Timo Põld tried to sneak it across the goal line.
