Ain Indrekson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Volli Keskrand when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Sepo Oks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 played minutes Liikva got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Ime. 22 minutes into the match, Liikva's goalkeeper Volli Keskrand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ain Indrekson. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sepo Oks was the one to do the kick off. Volli Keskrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aigar Koop, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Jüri Heinloo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heiki Rahumets read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play.
