The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Helger Ernits made a precise shot to the right of Allar Õng. Nitsiku's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 12 minutes, Kiur Nikopensius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nitsiku's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kiur Nikopensius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kiur Nikopensius got free with Alo Ess in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute Helger Ernits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allar Õng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kiur Nikopensius took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alo Ess. Alo Ess dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Kiur Nikopensius struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Alo Ess didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nitsiku. Lembit Vallik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allar Õng having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lembit Vallik in the 40th minute of play forced Nitsiku's goalkeeper Allar Õng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kiur Nikopensius's late challenge caught a JK Purtse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kiur Nikopensius helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of JK Purtse booed when Nitsiku was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiur Nikopensius didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Lembit Vallik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Allar Õng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Lembit Vallik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Allar Õng was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Mait Link struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Allar Õng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JK Purtse. Evert Vitsut kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Jan Valter sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Nitsiku's Allar Õng didn't even have to move. After some careless play in the Nitsiku defense, Helger Ernits kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Allar Õng. The Nitsiku fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Allar Õng should have stopped the shot. After 64 played minutes JK Purtse got a freekick which was hit by Mait Link. Alo Ess made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Risto Ansip in the 65th minute of play. Nitsiku's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Lembit Vallik scored to the left of an out of position Allar Õng, making the score, 1-5. The supporters of JK Purtse booed when Nitsiku was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kalmer Maandi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
