The audience was convinced that Hillar Viksi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgar Laik was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Uuno Haas charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mihkel Ristikivi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uuno Haas in the 23rd minute of the match. Hillar Viksi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Edgar Laik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Edgar Laik, was totally fooled by Leppsilla's Raivo Saaring, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Hillar Viksi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar Laik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Leppsilla's zone, Uuno Haas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihkel Ristikivi came out of the goal and Uuno Haas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laur Valinu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Edgar Laik made a huge save. In the 38th minute Hillar Viksi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Laik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Hillar Viksi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leppsilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hillar Viksi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
