Jürgen Põhjala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pilsner. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Eino Einberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 6 played minutes Luuste FS got a freekick which was hit by Allar Väljaste. Ants Luiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvo Rodin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jürgen Põhjala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eino Einberg in the 20th minute. Ants Luiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heiko Hennoste in the 30th minute of the match. Ants Luiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heiko Hennoste, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Lauri Kutsar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ants Luiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Heiko Hennoste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, FC Pilsner's goal looked a bit too open when Lauri Kutsar came free, but Ants Luiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ants Luiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvo Rodin in the 43rd minute of play. Jürgen Põhjala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvald Klaasen, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Udo Vähi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lauri Kutsar to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Heiko Hennoste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lauri Kutsar came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Luuste FS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauri Kutsar couldn't finish the play. Eino Einberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jürgen Põhjala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eino Einberg ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Pilsner's Ants Luiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauri Kutsar in the 69th minute of play. After 74 played minutes Luuste FS got a freekick which was hit by Eino Lilleorg. Ingmar Aavola kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Luuste FS's Raigo Hool tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arvo Rodin's late challenge caught a FC Pilsner's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arvo Rodin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Pilsner booed when Luuste FS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvo Rodin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eino Einberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jürgen Põhjala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Eino Einberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jürgen Põhjala was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 97 minutes of play, FC Pilsner's Eino Einberg made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jürgen Põhjala was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luuste FS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
