Ervin Välk's late challenge caught a Viljandi Olevik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ervin Välk helped the player get up and apologised. Ervin Välk hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Gerd Lusik struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Helari Nõmmsalu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viljandi Olevik. Fred Rodin's late challenge caught a Viljandi Olevik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Rodin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Paunkula getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Fred Rodin hit a great ball. Arvi Valdmets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Kevin Kaldmaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Viljandi Olevik's Andrus Uluk got control of the ball when Fred Rodin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Viljandi Olevik booed when Paunkula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heikki Vaarmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrus Uluk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Vana in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Fred Rodin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Gerd Lusik sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Paunkula's Helari Nõmmsalu didn't even have to move. 46 minutes into the match, Aivar Aas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Paunkula's Helari Nõmmsalu. Helari Nõmmsalu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arvi Valdmets to strike the kick off in the second half. Gunnar Vana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Andrus Uluk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aivar Aas kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kevin Kaldmaa in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrus Uluk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the match, Kevin Kaldmaa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrus Uluk. Viljandi Olevik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Kaldmaa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Laur Maasar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Helari Nõmmsalu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Kevin Kaldmaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rainer Rõõmussaar hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Laur Maasar made a precise shot to the right of Helari Nõmmsalu. Paunkula's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 84 played minutes Paunkula got a freekick which was hit by Heiko Äike. Arvi Valdmets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helari Nõmmsalu having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maarek Raig during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute, Maarek Raig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Kevin Kaldmaa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrus Uluk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, Paunkula's Kevin Kaldmaa made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrus Uluk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paunkula's Fred Rodin got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Fred Rodin off the ground. Helari Nõmmsalu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvi Valdmets, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
