When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Tarvi Haas sped through SK Theal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olaf Eerik. Tarvi Haas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olaf Eerik having to interfere. Ahto Haiba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olaf Eerik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Ahto Haiba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Olaf Eerik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Tarvi Haas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Olaf Eerik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lauri Uustal got free with Villem Ojasaar in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 minutes, Heiko Jüriöö mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soolatte JK and the SK Theal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Villem Ojasaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Freimann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahto Haiba made a kick off. Villem Ojasaar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andres Freimann's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Andres Freimann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Villem Ojasaar having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Soolatte JK's Heiko Jüriöö got a free kick in the 55th minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Lauri Uustal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Theal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauri Uustal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ahto Haiba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st match minute, Soolatte JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heiko Jüriöö to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th match minute, SK Theal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vambola Juur to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute of the match Argo Üksik shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olaf Eerik showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 71 minutes, Indrek Randmaa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Theal and the Soolatte JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Indrek Randmaa hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Andres Freimann made a precise shot to the right of Villem Ojasaar. Soolatte JK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Andres Freimann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. SK Theal's Andres Freimann got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th match minute, Soolatte JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ardo Kari to maneuver through the defense. Andres Freimann spun around in front of the goal 90 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Soolatte JK's goal. Ardo Kari's late challenge caught a SK Theal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ardo Kari helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes Soolatte JK got a freekick which was hit by Ardo Kari. Ardo Kari kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When SK Theal's Andres Freimann, in the 96th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for SK Theal.
