Märt Hernes started the match with the kick off. The supporters of FC Chelsea United booed when Scuuby Duu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helari Pilvik didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaak Asmer in the 3rd minute of play forced Scuuby Duu's goalkeeper Ülo Ime to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Märt Hernes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ilmar Ojasaar. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. If Albert Arula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Scuuby Duu's Roland Murulauk got a free kick in the 12th minute. Scuuby Duu's Peep Nõmmoja got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andres Lagle's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ilmar Ojasaar firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 19th minute Scuuby Duu were awarded a corner. Peep Nõmmoja went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Peep Nõmmoja almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Chelsea United's Ilmar Ojasaar did a great save. After some careless play in the FC Chelsea United defense, Andres Lagle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilmar Ojasaar. The FC Chelsea United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilmar Ojasaar should have stopped the shot. Honorato Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilmar Ojasaar having to interfere. Ilmar Ojasaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Papo in the 33rd minute of the match. Honorato Papo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Ilmar Ojasaar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 41st match minute, FC Chelsea United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vello Varblane to maneuver through the defense. Aapo Külaase made in the 43rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vambola Roolaid. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaak Asmer got free with Ülo Ime in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Scuuby Duu's Ülo Ime proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Scuuby Duu from getting a goal against them. Ülo Ime made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaak Asmer in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sander Eltmaa in the 68th minute of play forced Scuuby Duu's goalkeeper Ülo Ime to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Sander Eltmaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Honorato Papo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 73 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ilmar Ojasaar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Andres Lagle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scuuby Duu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Scuuby Duu's Andres Lagle got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the game, Eiko Laadoga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Chelsea United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scuuby Duu the free kick.
