After 18 minutes, Urmet Napasepp made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kunnametsa FC's Joosep Koidu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Elmo Tagel came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Kunnametsa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elmo Tagel couldn't finish the play. Elmo Tagel scored 2-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ülo Tarand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ülo Tarand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmo Tagel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Palivere getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Kalvi Räni hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Kunnametsa FC's Arto Heinmaa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Elmo Tagel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ülo Tarand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kunnametsa FC's Alo Kuuda got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ülo Tarand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmo Tagel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Kiur Kree was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Palivere's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kunnametsa FC the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, FC Palivere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiur Kree to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Palivere's goalkeeper Ülo Tarand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 52 minutes of play, FC Palivere's Kalvi Räni made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joosep Koidu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 played minutes Kunnametsa FC got a freekick which was hit by Raivo Murulauk. In the 67th minute Urmet Napasepp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joosep Koidu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elmo Tagel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ülo Tarand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Alo Kuuda lined in a short shot 3-2 behind a frustrated Ülo Tarand. Alo Kuuda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ülo Tarand having to make a save. When Arto Heinmaa fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kunnametsa FC's protests and gave Arto Heinmaa a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kunnametsa FC! The referee gave FC Palivere a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Valmar Kanne, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kunnametsa FC's Joosep Koidu. 4-3. Alo Kuuda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ülo Tarand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FC Palivere players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
