Udo Kadarpik took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erni Onnu. Nõmme FC Kalju's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Paikuse's zone, Isac Kilman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aabel Trummi came out of the goal and Isac Kilman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Nõmme FC Kalju getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Tauno Leigo hit a great ball. Erni Onnu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Priidik Saamatu went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Lauri Krae kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Priidik Saamatu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paikuse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Priidik Saamatu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nõmme FC Kalju's Erni Onnu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Elts in the 32nd minute of play. Erni Onnu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Elts in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute, Tom Taaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benth Eirikstoft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aabel Trummi having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
After 55 played minutes Nõmme FC Kalju got a freekick which was hit by Enar Erik. If Benth Eirikstoft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nõmme FC Kalju's Erni Onnu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Elts in the 61st minute of play. Aabel Trummi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benth Eirikstoft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benth Eirikstoft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enar Erik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Aabel Trummi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enar Erik hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. If Enar Erik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benth Eirikstoft in the 86th minute of play forced Paikuse's goalkeeper Aabel Trummi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erni Onnu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Priidik Saamatu in the 91st minute. With 93 minutes on the clock, Mihkel Teller commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Nõmme FC Kalju getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Mihkel Teller hit a great ball. Nõmme FC Kalju's Isac Kilman got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
