The crowd rose to their feet as Sepo Paabo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Karmo Särg. That made the score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Karmo Särg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sepo Paabo in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Fc Akadeemia getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Elmu Valmas hit a great ball. Henri Värnik kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Urmo Aas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ragnar Kasemetsa skillfully saved the ball. If Sepo Paabo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ralf Külaots could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Karmo Särg made a huge save. In the 36th minute, Fc Akadeemia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ralf Külaots fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Karmo Särg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ralf Külaots showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 39 minute of play. Toomas Emane came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Karmo Särg could save by the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sepo Paabo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Toomas Emane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kalle Saari kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Sepo Paabo got free in front of the goal in the 72nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Karmo Särg was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Evert Lille sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peep Arumäe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ragnar Kasemetsa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralf Külaots received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Karmo Särg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sepo Paabo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Peep Arumäe came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Fc Akadeemia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peep Arumäe couldn't finish the play. Evert Lille sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the game, Peep Arumäe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ragnar Kasemetsa. Peep Arumäe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2.
