Rait Talur kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. If Mario Luiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aivo Eelrand succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 13th playminute. Maido Rähn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Luiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Fc Merivälja booed when Nogiaru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Olt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rait Talur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Endel Luige made a huge save. A collision led to Nogiaru getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Raivo Toiger hit a great ball. After 26 minutes, Uku Võsu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nogiaru and the Fc Merivälja players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Fc Merivälja's Taavet Joon in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nogiaru's goalie prevented a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Nogiaru's goal looked a bit too open when Taavet Joon came free, but Maido Rähn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aivo Eelrand scored 2-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Endel Luige, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Fc Merivälja's goal looked a bit too open when Raivo Toiger came free, but Endel Luige reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Luiga struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Maido Rähn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Merivälja. After having played for 46 minutes, Taavet Joon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Merivälja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taavet Joon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Mario Luiga made the kick off in the second half. Mario Luiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Maido Rähn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Endel Luige came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Nogiaru's Raivo Toiger. But to his dismay, Raivo Toiger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Rait Talur charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rait Talur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 played minutes Nogiaru got a freekick which was hit by Rait Talur. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rait Talur in the 63rd minute of play forced Fc Merivälja's goalkeeper Endel Luige to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Mario Luiga notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Nogiaru's Maido Rähn. Maido Rähn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ernst Olt charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernst Olt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute, Raivo Toiger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Mario Luiga notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Nogiaru's Maido Rähn. Maido Rähn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Endel Luige made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raivo Toiger in the 82nd minute of play. Maido Rähn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Luiga in the 85th minute. Fc Merivälja's attentive Erki Oher managed to snatch the ball when Alex Veerma made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nogiaru had won after a very even match.
