Üllar Hurm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Volli Eesti's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Volli Eesti kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Üllar Hurm. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind star of tallinn's goalkeeper Aadu Sulg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Olev Salavesi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Olev Salavesi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aadu Sulg having to interfere. In the 59th minute Volli Eesti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Üllar Hurm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Üllar Hurm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Volli Eesti's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Volli Eesti in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Üllar Hurm saved Putki FC from getting behind. 64 minutes into the game, Väino Haab was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Putki FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave star of tallinn the free kick. The supporters of star of tallinn booed when Putki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Väino Haab didn't get a good kick on the ball. Volli Eesti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Alan Kaljumäe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Üllar Hurm was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.
