The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kasimir Lepik kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vahur Kottise got free with Aapo Vellemäe in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kalev Öeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argo Vari in the 18th minute of play forced Padakorve's goalkeeper Aapo Vellemäe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joonas Udal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdur Saareleht, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Ülo Elken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Aapo Vellemäe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 minutes, Argo Vari made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Padakorve's Aapo Vellemäe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Pivarootsi's Kaido Karelson got a free kick in the 31st minute. Ülo Elken hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Kalev Öeren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joonas Udal having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Kasimir Lepik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pivarootsi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kasimir Lepik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joonas Udal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdur Saareleht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdur Saareleht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Joonas Udal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Argo Vari stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pivarootsi were furious when Ülo Elken was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Pivarootsi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Padakorve:s goal. Joonas Udal went to the wrong direction when Lembit Laos was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ergo Kaldalu hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Kalev Öeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vahur Kottise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aapo Vellemäe having to interfere. Pivarootsi's Vahur Kottise got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pivarootsi's Joonas Udal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdur Saareleht in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, one of Padakorve:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Padakorve. The referee gave Pivarootsi a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kajar Vent, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Padakorve's Aapo Vellemäe. 2-0. Vahur Kottise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Valdur Saareleht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joonas Udal having to interfere. When Valdur Saareleht came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Padakorve fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdur Saareleht couldn't finish the play. Vahur Kottise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aapo Vellemäe having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pivarootsi had won after a very even match.
