After having played for 15 minutes, Indrek Vagula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lakhekyula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Indrek Vagula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Väino Vabadus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Antsov in the 16th minute of play. When Tõnn Must fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papiaru FC's protests and gave Tõnn Must a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lakhekyula booed when Papiaru FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Honga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gunnar Kapten shot from long distance in the 23rd minute, but Väino Vabadus was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 26th minute, Hannes Antsov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Indrek Vagula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Indrek Vagula's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Väino Vabadus skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Papiaru FC's Väino Vabadus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Papiaru FC from getting a goal against them. In the 49th minute of the match Tauri Kiilaspää sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Illimar Russak skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ingmar Harand to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ingmar Harand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papiaru FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingmar Harand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Illimar Russak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingmar Harand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gunnar Kapten was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Indrek Vagula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Väino Vabadus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hannes Antsov's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. If Ainar Jõeäär had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Indrek Vagula ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Väino Vabadus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Indrek Vagula came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Lakhekyula fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Indrek Vagula couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
