After 8 minutes, Aadu Uusnurm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Metsa and the Tallivere SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ragnar Kilk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Pearu Laev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aksel Õigus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Aksel Õigus made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Risto Lipp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahti Kuuda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pearu Laev having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aksel Õigus in the 60th minute of play forced Tallivere SK's goalkeeper Pearu Laev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Metsa getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Kaimo Laud hit a great ball. After 69 minutes of play, FC Metsa's Aksel Õigus made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pearu Laev was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tallivere SK's Pearu Laev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aksel Õigus in the 76th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Aksel Õigus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pearu Laev was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 83rd minute, Juhan Toots left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tallivere SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. If Juhan Toots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Metsa's zone, Rait Rakso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taimar Lõhmus came out of the goal and Rait Rakso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tallivere SK's Juhan Toots got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taimar Lõhmus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juhan Toots's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. FC Metsa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
