In the 8thth minute of the game Lennart Vainamäe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avere's Edgar Ääremaa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edgar Ääremaa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart Vainamäe, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Hans Vilu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute Lennart Vainamäe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Ääremaa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Hans Vilu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Edgar Ääremaa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 28 played minutes Avere got a freekick which was hit by Antti Hobune. The supporters of Avere booed when Puisma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rait Gross didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernhard Veisson made a kick off. Puisma's Lennart Vainamäe got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erich Raik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Aivar Öösalu made a huge save. If Olaf Alles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the game, Aivar Nei recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aivar Öösalu. Aivar Nei showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erich Raik got free with Aivar Öösalu in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute, Erich Raik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aivar Öösalu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Edgar Ääremaa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart Vainamäe, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Erich Raik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Bernhard Veisson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avere's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernhard Veisson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aivar Öösalu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Avere players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Puisma from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
