Lauri Puusepp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Saue read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Mannamaa were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mannamaa's supporters rose to their feet, but Asso Pulver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Are breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Are made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kris Liib in the 60th minute.
