Palli were furious when Frank Paju was red carded, 10 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palli fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! Aigar Vaagen walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Ain Heido fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palli's protests and gave Ain Heido a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Palli getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ain Heido hit a great ball. Ronald Arumäe scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jörgen Laving, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the game, Marti Viilukas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Essu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palli the free kick. If Marti Viilukas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Ain Heido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urmet Etii during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Arumäe in the 53rd minute of play forced Palli's goalkeeper Jörgen Laving to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 played minutes FC Essu got a freekick which was hit by Frank Lehtmets. Tõnis Inno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Viktor Lepik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Kristjan Redi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronald Arumäe in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jörgen Laving saved Palli from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in FC Essu's zone, Ain Heido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Lepik came out of the goal and Ain Heido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FC Essu's Valter Koha got a free kick in the 68th minute. Ronald Arumäe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Leks charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oliver Leks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Oliver Leks hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. If Ronald Arumäe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tõnis Inno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Üllar Järv kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Tõnis Inno struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Viktor Lepik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palli. Jörgen Laving showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Arumäe in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Üllar Järv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, FC Essu's goal looked a bit too open when Tõnis Inno came free, but Viktor Lepik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Urmet Etii got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 93 played minutes FC Essu got a freekick which was hit by Peter Isa.
