The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kaljo Ruus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Üllo Aav having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Kuuse's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kaljo Ruus fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 27th match minute, Huti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asso Hermann to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 35 minutes, Elar Urvet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kuuse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elar Urvet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute Henry Põder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristo Hark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Veikko Kotkas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Üllo Aav tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Üllo Aav showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaljo Ruus in the 45th minute of the match.

54 minutes into the game, Alan Lipmeister was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kuuse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huti the free kick. Kuuse's Üllo Aav played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaljo Ruus in the 79th minute of play. If Elar Urvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Henry Põder got free in front of the goal in the 86th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Kristo Hark was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of Huti booed when Kuuse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lembitu Nestra didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Veikko Kotkas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The goalkeeper, Kristo Hark, was totally fooled by Kuuse's Peedu Sepik, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Kuuse's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
