When Ott Saidla fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JK Tirimetsa's protests and gave Ott Saidla a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Ott Saidla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eimar Viljaste fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JK Tirimetsa's protests and gave Eimar Viljaste a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th match minute, JK Tirimetsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eimar Viljaste to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Joe Rebas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaur Ellermaa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laste's Kaur Ellermaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Rebas in the 15th minute of play. Timo Verk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Väino Nõu having to interfere. Rene Teraväe in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kaur Ellermaa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rene Teraväe came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kaur Ellermaa could save by the left post. Uku Joala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Väino Nõu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, JK Tirimetsa's goal looked a bit too open when Timo Verk came free, but Väino Nõu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Kalev Laasik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uku Joala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Väino Nõu having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timo Verk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Timo Verk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Väino Nõu was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in JK Tirimetsa's zone, Timo Verk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Väino Nõu came out of the goal and Timo Verk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Laste's Timo Verk in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of JK Tirimetsa booed when Laste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elmar Levisto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rene Teraväe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 80th minute of the match Ott Saidla completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ott Saidla a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. JK Tirimetsa's Väino Nõu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timo Verk in the 97th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
