The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Karstna getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Karstna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Rossa the free kick. Heikki Haiba kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ragnar Nirk was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Karstna fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Karstna's Tambet Vesi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Laur Roolaht scored 2-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albert Eessaar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Tõnn Heinsaar fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Rossa's protests and gave Tõnn Heinsaar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Karstna booed when SK Rossa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tõnn Heinsaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laur Roolaht's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Eessaar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laur Roolaht to strike the kick off in the second half. If Madis Õismaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The SK Rossa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Karstna's performance. The match ended with a win for Karstna.
