After 16 played minutes Matja SK got a freekick which was hit by Argo Hiir. After having played for 17 minutes, Erik Vilborn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Akhtama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Vilborn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ilmar Alas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Risto Kõiv read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Matja SK booed when SK Akhtama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kajar Juurikas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the SK Akhtama defense, Ilmar Alas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Risto Kõiv. The SK Akhtama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Risto Kõiv should have stopped the shot. Kajar Juurikas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Vilborn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Kajar Juurikas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arvi Noobel. That made the score 1-1 in the 60 minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Matja SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilmar Alas to maneuver through the defense. Risto Kõiv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilmar Alas in the 86th minute of the match. When Ronald Noorsaar fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Akhtama's protests and gave Ronald Noorsaar a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes SK Akhtama got a freekick which was hit by Ronald Noorsaar. Ilmar Alas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Risto Kõiv having to interfere. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind SK Akhtama's goalkeeper Risto Kõiv, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rando Kaldmaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Risto Kõiv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
