When Heinrich Nuume fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Sulev Varendi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Sten Oit when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Juss Kirst struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Sten Oit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JK Toomika. After a rather tough play, Puide's Kalle Maasar got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Juss Kirst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sulev Varendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juss Kirst to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, JK Toomika's Sulev Varendi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sten Oit narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Puide's Marko Türk got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
