If Aadu Koppelmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aadu Koppelmann hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Hillar Hovi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jürgen Ratassepp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Toomika getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Kalju Elujõe hit a great ball. Aivar Hanson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Aapo Luts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tauno Oksa's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. If Aadu Koppelmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tauno Oksa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jürgen Ratassepp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agu Kalkun, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Jürgen Ratassepp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agu Kalkun's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Hillar Hovi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toomika's supporters rose to their feet, but Hillar Hovi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jürgen Ratassepp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Teet Kübar fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toomika's protests and gave Teet Kübar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Toomika's Teet Kübar got a free kick in the 61st minute. 65 minutes into the game, Agu Kalkun recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jürgen Ratassepp. Agu Kalkun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After 68 played minutes FC Sinialliku got a freekick which was hit by Arvo Pärt. 73 minutes into the match, Hillar Hovi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jürgen Ratassepp. FC Sinialliku's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hillar Hovi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Hillar Hovi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jürgen Ratassepp having to make a save. Agu Kalkun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teet Kübar hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Aapo Luts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aadu Koppelmann in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Hillar Hovi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hillar Hovi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jürgen Ratassepp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, FC Sinialliku's Eiko Talv sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aapo Luts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Toomika's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
